Jiayu SHANG is a postdoctoral fellow at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He received his Ph. D. in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the City University of Hong Kong and his B.S. degree at Sun Yat-sen University (Guangdong, China) in the Department of Computer Science. His research field is bioinformatics and computational biology. In particular, His recent research projects include applying deep learning models in biological sequence analysis, next-generation sequencing data analysis, metagenomics, and protein domain annotation.
